Dans cet atelier intensif de trois jours, les étudiants exploreront une approche à la fois pragmatique et instinctive de la forme humaine.
À la frontière du réalisme et de l’expression, nous travaillerons sur des réponses intuitives et viscérales, en examinant la relation entre l’espace et la figure.
Les thèmes abordés incluront le comportement de la ligne, les premières réponses gestuelles et la tension entre la figure et l’espace. Cette approche expressive aidera les étudiants à créer des représentations fortes et évocatrices de la forme humaine.
In this fast-paced, three-day workshop, students will explore a pragmatic yet instinctive approach to the human form.
Balancing between realism and expression, we will engage with intuitive and visceral responses, examining how space interacts with the figure.
Key topics include line dynamics, initial gestural responses, and the tension between figure and space. This expressive approach will help students create powerful, compelling representations of the human form.
MARTIN CAMPOS
Arcenio Martin Campos a étudié les arts plastiques à la New Mexico State University, l’histoire de l’art à l’University of New Mexico, et a obtenu un Certificate of Painting à la Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
Il a commencé à dessiner dès l’enfance, et a complété sa formation artistique par une étude indépendante approfondie et des cours particuliers centrés sur la figure humaine.M. Campos a débuté sa carrière d’enseignant en donnant des cours de dessin d’après plâtre alors qu’il vivait encore au Nouveau-Mexique. Il a ensuite donné des conférences sur l’anatomie, le dessin et la peinture de la figure, et animé des groupes de dessin d’après modèle vivant à Albuquerque comme à Philadelphie. Son travail a reçu de nombreux prix et a été exposé à travers les États-Unis et à l’étranger, notamment lors d’une exposition personnelle à Paris.
M. Campos a enseigné à la Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, à la Washington Studio School, au Fleisher Art Memorial, au Winslow Art Center et au Wayne Art Center. Il donne actuellement des ateliers en ligne et propose des cours sur les plateformes Kara Bullock Art School et Art Digger Lab.
Il a également dirigé des ateliers sur site aux États-Unis, en Europe, en Afrique du Sud et en Nouvelle-Zélande.
Arcenio Martin Campos studied Studio Arts at New Mexico State University, Art History at the University of New Mexico, and earned a Certificate in Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
He began drawing on his own as a child, and much of his fine art education came through independent study and private instruction focused on the human figure.Mr. Campos started his teaching career in New Mexico, where he taught cast drawing classes. Since then, he has lectured on anatomy, figure drawing, and painting, and has facilitated open figure drawing sessions in both Albuquerque and Philadelphia. His work has received numerous awards and has been exhibited throughout the United States and internationally, including a solo exhibition in Paris.
He has taught at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Washington Studio School, the Fleisher Art Memorial, Winslow Art Center, and the Wayne Art Center.
Mr. Campos currently teaches online workshops and offers courses through the Kara Bullock Art School and the Art Digger Lab. He has also led on-site workshops across the United States, Europe, South Africa, and New Zealand.
